I am experienced in various media fields and have a history working in broadcast and electronic media.
Most recently, I worked at Channel 69 News WFMZ-TV, Allentown, PA, as a Web Content Producer. At WFMZ, I was responsible for creating, editing and managing the content that appeared on our website, social media platforms and mobile applications. While at WFMZ I grew our social media following by more than 100,000 unique users. I did this by posting frequently and optimizing audience engagement.
During my time as a Web Content Producer, I greatly improved upon my written and verbal communication skills. I am extremely organized and able to multitask, as I was on a deadline every day.
I also worked as a Television News Content Producer at FOX43 News WPMT, York, PA. During my time at FOX43 I was responsible for writing, editing, and overseeing a five-hour live television newscast every morning. This consisted of formulating, writing, and editing numerous scripts and teases in the rundown. I also worked with reporters to develop story ideas to cover each day. I produced the live newscast from the control room, where I worked with the director on the visual aspects; cued on-air talent; and timed the show to make sure we hit break times and out times on schedule.
While at Shippensburg University, I was the General Manager, Music Director and DJ for the school’s radio station, 88.7 WSYC FM. As the General Manager I oversaw the daily operations of the radio station. I also worked with university faculty and administrators to create new ideas. In my role as a music director I formed relationships with record labels and promotional agencies to track which music was being played. During my time as a DJ I created and hosted a weekly live radio broadcast.
